"I slept and dreamt that life was joy
I awoke and saw that life was service
I acted and behold service was joy"

More than ever, leadership of organizations demands not only technical and cognitive prowess, but self-awareness, emotional intelligence, cultural awareness and the ability to inspire. As the world becomes ever more complex, rapidly changing and globally interdependent, the role of the leader is deepening.
One way a leader opens to that deepening is pausing to reflect. In the words of Margaret Wheatley, “It’s time for us as leaders to realize we cannot create the future we want by increasing the speed of change. At some point, it’s up to us to say, ‘We must take time to think. We must take time to reflect.’” She considers this a courageous, revolutionary act.
This pause makes room for learning, integration, replenishing, taking stock, seeing the big picture and taking the longer view.

For more than 15 years, my work has included growing the leadership potential of individuals and groups--since 1999 as a proud associate of Gilburg Leadership Institute. In GLI’s Leadership Laboratory®, we provide leaders with the opportunity to pause and reflect, to gather themselves and integrate their knowledge and their passion, their service and their joy. What blossoms are more credible, authentic, creative and inspiring leaders.
